Description
Freedom™
Self-Adhering Pipe Boots combine EverGuard’s proven TPO membrane
technology with a pre-applied engineered adhesive.
Freedom SA Pipe Boots complete the line of self-adhering membranes
and accessories that allow contractors freedom from the hassles
associated with traditional roofing systems.
Method of Application
1.
Pipe boots should be installed on prepared surfaces only. Prepare
the surface by verifying it is clean and dry, and prime the roof
membrane with EverGuard®
Primer. Allow the primer to dry prior to installing the pipe boot.
2.
Measure the penetration and cut the top of the pipe boot to the
appropriate diameter.
3.
Remove the release film and position the boot over the penetration.
4.
Slide the boot into place and adhere to the membrane. Roll the flange
with a silicone roller to achieve maximum adhesion to the membrane
5.
Install clamping ring at the top of pipe boot to seal it to the
penetration.
6.
Caulk around the clamping ring and at the bottom edge of the boot
flange, extending the caulk 6 inches on to the membrane
